The United States of America has an incredible service of protection and intelligence. From military forces to intelligence agencies, USA presents some of the most powerful, complete and efficient teams of soldiers and professionals, and it has also a very good organization.
Within the military forces of USA, United States Armed Forces, we can find the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the Air Force and the Coast Guard.
The United States Army (USA) is the main branch of the United States Armed Forces and it is responsable for land-based military operations. It is also the largest and oldest established branch, having been created on 14 June 1775. The primary mission of the Army is "to fight and win our Nation’s wars by providing prompt, sustained land dominance across the full range of military operations and spectrum of conflict in support of combatant commanders."  The Army is a military service within the Department of the Army, and one of the three military departments of the Department of Defense. It is headed by the Secretary of Defense. Their motto is "This We'll Defend". Their colors are black and gold, and the headquarter is in the Pentagon. Their march is "The Army Goes Rolling Along".
USA's purposes are:



  • Preserving the peace and security and providing for the defense of the United States, the Commonwealths and possessions and any areas occupied by the United States;
  • Supporting the national policies;
  • Implementing the national objectives;
  • Overcoming any nations responsible for aggressive acts that imperil the peace and security of the United States.
  • The United States Navy (USN) is the naval warfare service branch. It is the largest Navy in the world. The Navy is administratively managed by the Department of Navy, which is headed by the Secretary of the Navy. This last department is a division of the Department of Defense, headed by the Secretary of Defense. It was created on 13 October 1775, although it didn't exist between the years 1790 and 1797. Their mottos are, unofficially, "Strenght and Honor" and "Non sibi sed patriae". Their colors are blue and gold, and the headquarter is in Arlington County, Virginia. Their march is "Anchors Aweigh".
    USN's mission is to maintain, train and equip combat-ready Naval forces capable of winning wars, deterring aggression and maintaining freedom of the seas, to protect and defend the right of the United States and our allies to move freely on the oceans and to protect our country against her enemies.
    The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is responsable for providing power projection from the sea, using the mobility of the Unites States Navy to quickly deliver combined-arms tasks forces. The USMC is a component of the United States Department of Navy, often working closely with naval forces for training, transportation, and logistics. It was created on 10 November 1775 and has its headquarter in Quantico, Prince William County, Virginia. Their motto is "Semper Fidelis" and their colors are scarlet and gold. Their marches are "Semper Fidelis" and "The Marine's Hymn".
    USMC's three primary areas of responsability are:
    • The seizure or defense of advanced naval bases and other land operations to support naval campaigns;
    • The development of tactics, technique, and equipment used by amphibious landing  forces in coordination with the Army and Air Force;
    • Such other duties as the President may direct.

    The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare service branch and it is the most recent one. It is a military service within the Department of the Air Force, one of the three military departments of the Department of Defense. The Air Force is headed by the Secretary of the Air Force. It was created on 18 September 1947 and its colors are ultramarine blue and Air Force yellow.
    Their headquarter is in the Pentagon and their march and motto are, respectively, "The U.S. Air Force" and "Aim High ... Fly-Fight-Win".
    USAF's purposes are:



  • to preserve the peace and security, and provide for the defense, of the United States, the Territories, Commonwealths, and possessions, and any areas occupied by the United States;
  • to support national policy;
  • to implement national objectives;
  • to overcome any nations responsible for aggressive acts that imperil the peace and security of the United States.

  • Today's stated mission of the USAF is to "fly, fight, and win in air, space, and cyberspace".
    The United Stated Coast Guard (USCG) is a maritime, military, multi-mission service, which is unique among the US military branches for having a maritime law enforcement and a federal regulatory agency. It operates under the Department of Homeland Security during peacetime, and can be transferred to the Department of the Navy during time of war. It was created on 4 August 1790. The motto and march is "Semper Paratus". The colors are white, CG blue e CG red. Their headquarter is located in Southwest Washington, DC.
